What is FOSAPORT?

Fosaport is a medicine used to help prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy treatments. It works by blocking certain signals in the brain that make you feel sick. It’s usually given through an IV and is often used along with other medications to stop nausea from happening during and after chemotherapy.

Recommended Dosing schedule, the actual may be customised based on your requirement by your treating doctor.

Before your chemotherapy, you'll usually receive one dose of Fosaport through an IV, about 30 minutes before your treatment starts. The dose is typically 150 mg, and it’s given along with other medications that help prevent nausea and vomiting. The infusion takes about 20-30 minutes, and you usually won’t need another dose of Fosaport after that, depending on your chemotherapy plan.

Always follow the instructions given by your doctor, as they may adjust things based on your specific needs.
