Abevmy® is a medication that helps treat different types of cancer by blocking the growth of blood vessels that feed tumors. It is often used together with chemotherapy.
Abevmy® is commonly prescribed for:
- Metastatic Colorectal Cancer
- Non-Squamous Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
- Glioblastoma (a type of brain cancer)
- Metastatic Renal Cell Cancer (kidney cancer)
- Advanced Ovarian or Fallopian Tube Cancer
- Metastatic Cervical Cancer
Form: Abevmy® is given through an IV (intravenous infusion).
Recommended Dosing schedule, the actual may be customised basis your requirement by your treating doctor
First Dose: Given over 90 minutes.
Second Dose: If the first dose is tolerated well, the second infusion is given over 60 minutes.
Subsequent Doses: Future infusions can be given in just 30 minutes.
Frequency: Infusions are typically given every 2 or 3 weeks.
- Treatment usually continues until the cancer worsens or if you experience side effects that are too severe.
